UTV 1996
UTV had another revamp just before Christmas 1996. The logo stayed the same, but the symbols changed and the music was redone. There were initially two symbols, one using the famous Giant's Causeway on the north Antrim coast and another using some waterfall or other. There are now quite a few symbols, some involving people playing the sig tune on guitars, tin whistles, 'cellos etc. Some of them annoy the hell out of me, though I do like the ones that involve palces rather than people - the original two, or others such as the Portaferry-Strangford ferry - a well known service to anyone in Ards.
